DLD Learnings:

• One episode of the Simpsons takes 6-9 months to produce (David Silverman, Animator)
• One Episode of shralp! takes 6-9 hours to produce 
• In Africa they use cell phones with a scary ringtone to scare away wild animals (Tero Ojanperä, Nokia)
• Having 1% of the search market share means 1-2 billon market cap (Jason Callacnus, Mahalo)

And of course some quotes from Tom Varsavsky, a 14 year old boy, interviewed in the panel “Generation Web”

• there is a difference me earning money and me spending money (replying to the question why he doesn’t want to pay for content but finds it OK to sell a WOW character for 700$)
• I never click on advertising - its of no use
• I would find it wierd if someone came to my school not using facebook, everybody I know uses it (reply to a question if he distinguishes between friends that are online and those who are not)
